The Bedouin beach hut accommodation – your home beside the sea
Sawa Camp’s Accommodation on the Sunny Sinai Shore, near Nuweiba, sinai- Egypt
For accommodation at Sawa Camp we use traditional Hoosha huts which are ingeniously woven together using Bamboo and palm leaves.
Inside the floor is made from concrete (not sand) and covered with brightly coloured, locally-made Bedouin carpets.
The Hoosha’s roof is made from palm leaf thatch which allows the moonlight to enter and the sunlight to peek through.
Each Hoosha comes with a double or single mattress (at your request), clean sheets, pillows and a mosquito net inside. All have lockable doors and possess electric light during the evening. Outside, each Hoosha boasts its own private porch with a hammock (and some also with table and chairs) so that during the day you can relax and unwind in the shade, out of the hot Egypt sun, or in the evening.
The Hooshas are located directly on our magical stretch of Sinai beach, only about two to three meters from the sea so you’ll be lulled to sleep by a symphony of waves as your background music.
It’s a good idea to bring your own sleeping bag and towel but don’t worry if you forget, we have spares just in case. Bathrooms at Sawa Camp are communal (toilet paper is provided) and only a short walk away from the huts. We pride ourselves on our reputation for keeping them super-clean.
During high season checkout time is 12:00.
